Rebecca Tjahja is an American, pre-law student studying Finance and Political Science at The University of Texas at Dallas. Rebecca has an incredible wanderlust and love for adventure and is traveling the world during her undergraduate studies to see the world while studying her passions. She has a love for service, politics, and business and combines the three interests through her involvement with her nonprofit, student government, and various internships.
Through the Eugene McDermott Scholars Program, Rebecca has the opportunity to study abroad, and this summer she is traveling all over Europe. She will be studying Advanced Negotiation and Mediation and International Financial Regulation in the Department of Law at the London School of Economics for 6 weeks. In addition, Rebecca will be performing her own independent study on education policy in relation to innovation and productivity growth within Europe in comparison to the United States. This independent study will be a mix of readings, interactive interviews, and cultural experiences.
